I got an email today from a representative of the arboretum, correcting my error. In part, he said “…tree climbing at the Arboretum is akin to disrespecting the pieces in a museum. There are trees here that are rare, even extinct in the wild. There are trees that are being studied for potential healing compounds within. [It is necessary] that people refrain from spreading the false notion that it is ok to climb trees here.”
I feel terrible abut my original error, and next time I shoot there, I will respect the policies in place.
