Architecture Photos-Bucksteep Manor

This is Bucksteep Manor, a relaxing, woodsy place way out in western MA (near Pittsfield), bordering October Mountain State Forest. Being there even for a weekend is a GREAT place to re-charge your batteries!! It’s set up to host all sorts of events (weddings, concerts, family reunions, etc.). I was delighted to be invited out to shoot the property so they could update their website. I stayed overnight, and waking up around 5:30 in the morning to catch some good light. I must say, wandering around the expansive property in the quiet dew of the morning was one of the most relaxing mornings I have had in a while!!

I have more photos of Bucksteep here. Please feel free to comment on the ones you like!

Family-Amanda, Annabelle, and Claire

It was such a beautiful day last week to meet Amanda and her two daughters, Annabelle and Claire. Both of her daughters provided different challenges. Annabelle was super shy and was anxious and a little upset when I first arrived. I tried to balance being approachable and engaging, and leaving her alone (sometimes even leaving the room entirely) so as to make her as comfortable as possible. From what her mother said, I did a pretty good job. She got to the point of smiling at me and even showed me her favorite lovie, Raoul. He is a super soft giraffe she has with her a lot of the time. So cute and soft! Claire was quite the opposite. She was full of energy and giggles, and at times was hard get a picture of her that wasn’t blurry because she just didn’t sit still much. Despite these challenges, it was just wonderful to spend the afternoon with all of them!!

Family Session–Elora, Doana, and David

It was a treat to meet Elora and her parents. Her bright, curious eyes were so beautiful! She is at the age that she is still trying to figure out what all her muscles do, especially in her face, and to watch her try to control them, and to figure out what in the heck her tongue is, anyway, frequently caused all of us to giggle throughout the session!

Sionan and Bill’s Engagement session

When I met up with Sionan and Bill we decided that the beautiful parks just five minutes from their home would be the perfect place to have their photo session. They are a great and loving couple who stay so busy in their professional lives that when they have any free time together, just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company is their highest priority. They love spending time in the quiet of the trees, so being outside, enjoying the gorgeous weather, captured just the feeling they were looking for.

Here are some of my favorites from that session. For a look at all of the images from that day, go to: http://clients.iamwhatisee.com/Weddings/Engagement-Sionan-and-Bill/12016266_G372z#852464200_aSVDz
